Papermakers Fall to 0-3 in Shootout Loss to Chattanooga

Appleton Papermakers couldn't hold off Chattanooga Rapids in a high-scoring affair, falling 128-122 to drop to 0-3 on the young season. Dashiell Briscoe continues to produce individually, averaging 27.7 points per game, but it hasn't yet translated into a win column for Appleton. The Papermakers have actually outscored several winning teams this season, a sign their defense — not their offense — is the issue so far.

Briscoe Erupts for 30, But Vaqueros Hold On 123-120

Dashiell Briscoe put the AIBA on notice with a league-high 30-point performance in Appleton's season opener, adding 4 assists to go with his scoring outburst. But the Santa Maria Vaqueros answered with a composed home effort, powered by Matias Madrigal's 27 points, to escape with a 123-120 victory.
